Brass, steel, found and handmade clock parts – 2007

The body of the piece is delicately suspended by the long blackened steel rod. When the spring is wound, the body lies resting on the surface of the pedestal. After a small pin is removed, the tightly wound spring slowly expands over the course of 10 minutes simulating a flower in bloom.
